Association for Open Source Software
Open-Source Business Alliance (OSBA)
Shaping digital sovereignty together
As a member of the Open Source Business Alliance, we work together with companies, organizations, and the public sector to promote open, sovereign IT structures in Germany and Europe. The association combines technological expertise with political and economic exchange around open source.
We contribute our practical project experience to strategic discussions and thus actively shape digital solutions based on open standards, so that you can remain independent in the long term and continue to develop your IT reliably.
Core Benefits
Our membership in the OSBA creates a framework in which technological decisions are not made in isolation, but rather in the context of regulation, market requirements, and sustainable digitalization.
Strengthening digital independence
Open standards and open source technologies form the basis for systems without vendor lock-in. Collaboration within the OSBA creates a common understanding of architectures that remain controllable, expandable, and independent for you in the long term.
Political and technological co-creation
The OSBA brings together stakeholders from business, politics, and administration. Through active participation in working groups, our practical project experience is incorporated into funding programs, digital strategies, and technological guidelines.
Competence network for open source
A dense network of specialized providers, initiatives, and experts is emerging within the association. This exchange promotes knowledge transfer, joint approaches to solutions, and the continuous development of open technologies.
